MARSHVALE is a self-catering holiday cottage in a quiet road in Aith. It has beautiful sea views looking across Aith Voe. Aith is on the West Mainland of Shetland and is a good central base for touring the whole island including Yell, Unst and Fetlar.

Marshvale is situated just a short distance from the sea shore and enjoys a view of the whole of Aithvoe from the lifeboat pier to the twinkling lights of Brae to the north at night. There are plenty of places to go for walks and see the abundance of nature in the area. Visit any of the local lochs and see many birds including swans, Oyster Catchers, Curlews, Lapwings and possibly a Red Throated Diver. It is possible to fish for brown trout in some of these lochs. At the sea shore you may see seals and otters as well as all the sea birds. In nearby East Burrafirth is the Lunklet Burn with it's beautiful Ramnahol waterfall.

Marshvale is less than a mile from the local shop, leisure centre, post office and garage. It takes about 25-30 minutes to get to the main town of Lerwick by car and there is a bus service which travels to and from Lerwick every day except Sunday. There is a bus stop less than 1/2 a mile from the house. The P&O ferry terminal is in Lerwick, and the service to Aberdeen operates most days in the summer, arriving in Lerwick at 8:00am. Around 20 miles south of Lerwick is Sumburgh, the islands main airport, and there are hire cars, taxis and a bus service to Lerwick available outside the terminal.
